Promasidor honours Employees for Long Service
Promasidor Nigeria Limited, makers of Cowbell, Onga, Toptea and Loya Milk has rewarded its employees who have served the company for 10, 15 and 20 years. The affected employees, including their spouses, were honoured for their hard work and meritorious service to the company.
Speaking at the event held at the firm’s Headquarters in Isolo, Lagos on Saturday, Managing Director, Promasidor Nigeria, Olivier Thiry, commended them for their commitment to service. He said their commitment over the years cannot be underestimated as it lubricates the strategic direction of the management.
Thiry stated that the reward to the affected employees was just a token from the management to dedicated and committed employees who strive to place Promasidor ahead of competition in the market. His words: “This is just a gesture to reciprocate your support for Promasidor over the years. Without your invaluable commitment, there would not be Promasidor. The management considers today as a memorable day in the life of all the affected employees and in our corporate life”.
The event was filled with fun, laughter and glamour as the affected employees were rewarded with gifts ranging from refrigerators, to electricity generators, and plasma TV sets.
Other activities included a raffle draw which saw guests carting away gifts such as mini-ovens, pressing irons, rice boilers, sandwich makers and other cooking appliances.
Satisfied with the honour given to them, the recipients of the awards expressed appreciation and love for the company, reiterating that if given another chance to choose a company to work for, they would again choose Promasidor.
One of the recipients, Mr. Johnson Babatunde, who is in the 15 years award category from Osun State Depot, started off as a sales manager in 1998 in Benin City. Babatunde described his experience as a nice one as he has attended several trainings in the course of his service with Promasidor; an experience that has developed him as a person and as an employee. He recalls a training he had on personnel management, which took him to South Africa, a trip solely sponsored by the company.
His words: “I have worked with so many Depots like those in Benin, Ibadan, Ondo, and now in Osogbo. This makes the job very interesting. I don’t stay in a location for a very long time which makes you feel like you are doing one thing for a long time. I meet new faces and new challenges which in turn helps my personal development. If I get another opportunity, I would work with Promasidor. They allow you express your talent and you are rewarded for every time invested.”
Mr. Babatunde thanked the company for giving him such an opportunity and commended them on the awards saying it will encourage others to put in their best in the course of their service to the company.
